PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE

A Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) since 2019, Enrique is also fully insured for PS1 and registered in the Auckland Council for PS2. Enrique always strives to find sound engineering solutions based on international standards and guidelines, as well as cutting edge research. He’s known for being able to achieve both cost- & time- effective solutions for his clients. He has been involved in multiple multi-million dollar refurbishing and strengthening projects around Aotearoa New Zealand, from small scale residential and commercial to high-rise, heritage and landmark buildings and structures.

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

Dr Enrique del Rey Castillo has been doing research and development of FRP materials and applications for the structural/civil field since 2014. He has worked with local and overseas engineers, contractors and suppliers in a wide range of applications, focusing mostly on seismic strengthening. He has published numerous papers, presented in conferences all around the world, and his expertise and thorough research has gained him multiple academic awards and funding grants.
